Founder's Story

My name is Gregory Goodell, and like a lot of people, I didn't set out to start a clothing company.
I've spent most of my life turning wrenches, solving problems, and figuring things out as I go. I've worked in the trades, spent time in law enforcement and security, driven for Uber, and tackled more automotive projects than I can count. Somewhere along the way I learned that life rarely goes exactly according to plan, but some of the best stories come from the unexpected detours.
Laughing Stock Clothing Company was born from that mindset.
The name comes from the idea that sometimes people will laugh at your dreams, your projects, your ideas, or the goals you're chasing. That's okay. Most worthwhile things start with someone believing in them before anyone else does.
What began as an idea with less than a hundred dollars behind it grew into something bigger: a way to combine my love of garage culture, project cars, humor, creativity, and community. Every design is inspired by the people who keep building, fixing, learning, and trying again even when things don't go perfectly.
At the same time, I wanted to build something that could do more than sell shirts. That's where the For Someone Today project came from. The belief that small acts of kindness can create meaningful change has become a core part of what this company stands for.
My long-term goal isn't just to build a business. It's to build something that matters. Something I can look back on twenty years from now and say, "We built that." Not just me, but the customers, supporters, friends, employees, and community members who helped make it possible.
Whether you're here because you love cars, enjoy a good laugh, support small businesses, or simply believe in helping others, I'm glad you're here.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
